Bielsko-Biała's city centre will become a stage for live music, theatre and street performances on Saturday, 18 July, as Galeria Sfera joins two major cultural initiatives taking place across the city.
Visitors can enjoy an afternoon of open-air theatre alongside a series of live performances by local singer Dominik Czuż, with both events forming part of wider celebrations that showcase Bielsko-Biała's thriving arts scene.
By taking culture beyond traditional venues and into public spaces, the day promises to offer residents and visitors the chance to experience theatre and music as part of the city's everyday life.
Galeria Sfera Supports Citywide Cultural Events
Galeria Sfera will take part in two separate initiatives on the day. The shopping centre will host concerts as part of the 4th BBusking Street Artists Festival, while also welcoming an outdoor theatre performance presented through the Sąsiedzi 2026 project, delivered within the programme of the Polish Capital of Culture 2026.
Outdoor Theatre at the Bolek and Lolek Statue
At 3.30 pm, the square outside Galeria Sfera, beside the popular Bolek and Lolek monument, will become an open-air theatre for The Ambiguous Vagabonds, performed by German duo Los Hobos.
The production combines elements of physical theatre, contemporary circus, comedy and live music, creating an interactive performance where movement, humour and audience participation play a central role.
The performance forms part of "SĄSIEDZI – Teatralnie. Cyrkowo. Po sąsiedzku.", a citywide programme running from 17 to 19 July, bringing outdoor theatre, circus performances and artistic activities to locations across Bielsko-Biała.
Six Live Performances from Dominik Czuż
Music lovers will also have the opportunity to hear Dominik Czuż, the Bielsko-Biała vocalist who reached the semi-finals of the 16th series of The Voice of Poland.
Throughout the day, he will perform six live concerts in the foyer of Galeria Sfera between 12.00 pm and 9.00 pm.
Known both locally and beyond the region, Dominik has built a growing following thanks to his distinctive voice and engaging live performances. His appearance forms one of the featured stops on this year's BBusking programme.
BBusking Returns for a Fourth Year
Now in its fourth edition, BBusking continues its mission of bringing the performing arts into the heart of everyday city life.
Rather than limiting performances to theatres or concert halls, the festival transforms streets, squares and public spaces into stages, encouraging audiences to discover music, dance, circus arts, theatre and performance in unexpected locations.
This year's festival runs from 12.00 pm until 10.30 pm, with artists appearing along 11 Listopada Street and at several locations across the city centre.
A Diverse Programme Across the City
This year's artistic trail will include performances by musicians, dancers, circus artists, puppeteers, actors, comedians and stilt walkers at a variety of locations.
Highlights include:
- Plac Bolesława Chrobrego featuring performances by Julia Dynak, Liliana Zahajko and APPA Studio Akrobatyki Powietrznej.
- The Reksio Monument, where instrumentalist Adrian Monticolo will perform.
- Punkt 11, hosting Tahira, Paulina Stąsiek and the HIKAYA oriental dance group.
- Plac Ratuszowy, where medical clowns from Fundacja Czerwone Noski will entertain audiences.
- Skwer przy ul. Głębokiej, home to Ars Alchemia and performer Bartłomiej Koźniewski.
- Plac Wolności, where Teatr Świat will present its production Przestrzeń Wolności.
- The gazebo in Park Ratuszowy, featuring puppeteers Włodzimierz and Katka Pohl from Teatr Lalek Banialuka with another instalment of Everyman's adventures.
- Galeria Sfera, where Dominik Czuż will perform throughout the afternoon and evening.
Together, the programme reflects the broad range of artistic disciplines represented at this year's festival and offers visitors numerous opportunities to experience live performance while exploring the city centre.
A Spectacular Fire Show to Close the Festival
The day's celebrations will conclude with an impressive fire performance at 10.00 pm in Plac Bolesława Chrobrego.
The finale will feature Bielska Scena Ognia, led by Teatr Ognia Tesserakt, whose display promises aerial fire choreography and dramatic visual effects.
The evening programme will also include guest performances from:
- Ars Alchemia with De Igni!
- Anna Lares performing My Phoenix Era
- Teatr Ognia Tesserakt presenting Slava
Organised by Kapelusznik – Kolektyw Artystyczny, the fire show has become one of the signature moments of the annual BBusking festival.
Why It Matters
Events such as BBusking and Sąsiedzi 2026 highlight the growing role of public spaces in Bielsko-Biała's cultural life. By bringing theatre, music and performance directly into streets, squares and shopping centres, organisers are making the arts more accessible to residents of all ages while encouraging people to rediscover the city from a fresh perspective.
With international performers, local talent and family-friendly entertainment all forming part of the programme, 18 July promises to be one of the summer's most vibrant cultural days in the city.
